How does buying flowers for pickup from Local Blooms work?

Enter the zipcode where you want to pick up flowers and the date you would like to pick up your flowers. Browse the profiles of available growers and choose your favorite arrangement - confirm pickup details and enter payment info. Payment is processed through our secure site at the time of purchase. Your flowers will be available for pick-up at the time and location designated by the grower in the listing.

How does having flowers delivered from Local Blooms work?

Enter the zipcode where you would like your flowers to be delivered and the date you would like them delivered. Browse the profiles of available growers and choose your favorite arrangement - confirm delivery details and enter payment info - a delivery fee will be included in your final cost. Payment is processed through our secure site at the time of purchase and your flowers will be delivered by the grower, or their delivery service, at the designated date / time.

How much do Local Blooms arrangements cost?

Each grower sets their own prices based on local market pricing, size and type of arrangement, type of flowers used, etc. These prices are usually comparable to, or even lower, than the typical cost of a similar arrangement purchased through a commercial florist and the local flower arrangement you receive will be more unique, more beautiful, and longer- lasting than a typical floral-shop bouquet.

In addition to the cost of the arrangement, a small service fee will be added to your purchase to help cover the cost of maintaining the Local Blooms marketplace. If your flowers are being delivered, a delivery fee will also be added to your final cost. These are the only additional fees - there will never be any hidden fees or unexpected costs.

What if there is not a grower available in the zip code I search?

Local Blooms is a growing community and new growers are joining our network every day. If no growers are available in the zipcode you select, let us know and we will do our absolute best to find a grower for you within 24 hours or less. If not, we will happily refer you to one of our sustainable florist partners as we continue to expand our grower network.

When will Local Blooms be open for shopping?

Locally grown flowers are seasonal and depending on location, not available year-round - this makes them even more special!

We are planning to have a shorter 2025 season, beginning mid-June and ending early October, with plans to extend the season from spring through fall in 2026. If grower availability allows us to start our season earlier in 2025, we'll adjust our plan - be sure to subscribe for our newsletter and we'll keep you informed about our opening day this year.
